ASTME 381-68 should be used for the evaluation of macrographic requirements forsteel bars, billets, and blooms. For the macrographic evaluation of steelbars used for special needs in connection with shell materials and otherOrdnance applications, MIL-STD-1459(MU) should be wed when applicable
